SleepyME: WannaME's deep too...

Before I turn in for the night, after a long day of wanting. I figured I'd do a precursor of some posts to come.  WannaME isn't just about the crafts. WannaME has other, deeper interests as well. Like art. Now I don't really know anything about art. I just like stuff that grabs my attention. If I come across something that makes me want to stop and take a second look, well I take a second look.

One such painting is The Tree of Life. I just came across this piece a few months ago. But I F'Luv it. All the lovely swirls, it's all me. So I wanna learn more about Gustav Klimt. And one day maybe get a copy of one of his works. That shall be my mission for tomorrow. Of course only after I've finished working or on my lunch break. Sure. That is all. Sweet Dreams.

WannaME: Ooo I wanna make that....quilt

And this is why I should not be allowed on the internet without adult supervision.  Just sitting here clicking the next blog button, scoping out other sites. Look what I came across. JediKnits is amazingly talented. I Wanna make that.....

CraftyME: Introducing....

Yeah I think the addict that is CraftyME has spawned a new identity. For now we shall call her Ooo I WannaME. As in "ooo I wanna make that" or "ooo I wanna go there" or "ooh I wanna buy that".  OiwME or maybe even just WannaME for short.
So WannaME is a busy gal. I didn't even get outta bed before she spotted something and thought "ooo I wanna make that."  Today's entry was found by way of yesterday' new discovery Grumperina's blog. The original site is actually one that's on my TTDL of sites to explore, Purl Bee.
Isn't that pretty. I so wanna make that. And I dont even sew. Or Embroider. But I wanna make that.
Le sigh. ME

SleepyME: CraftyME has a problem....

So yeah, CraftyME has a bit of a problem. Apparently CraftyME is an addict. And this addiction is taking over my life.
Everytime I see a new craft I NEED to learn it, master it, see all there is to see about it. And it's all Rav's fault. Dang online crack source, I tell ya. It's already taken my harmless little crochet fetish and morphed me into a knitting fiend. I'm impatiently awaiting the arrival of my new books on sock knitting, soapmaking, and jewelery making. This morning I was checking out sewing classes. And now I've just spent the past oh 3 hours or so researching metal stamping. Why? Why must I be so captivated by the lures of handmade goodness. The notion that I could be a creative goddess. The possibility of finding my special something and selling the hell out of it. I'm so chockful of ideas but I can barely keep my eyes open. Be on the lookout, strange things are afoot at the circle k my friends.
Yawn.....Good night all
ME.

WorkME (shh): that's the way life goes

Job Responsibility

by Charles Osgood

There was a most important job that needed to be done,
And no reason not to do it, there was absolutely none.
But in vital matters such as this, the thing you have to ask
Is who exactly will it be who'll carry out the task?

Anybody could have told you that everybody knew
That this was something somebody would surely have to do.
Nobody was unwilling; anybody had the ability.
But nobody believed that it was their responsibility.

It seemed to be a job that anybody could have done,
If anybody thought he was supposed to be the one.
But since everybody recognised that anybody could,
Everybody took for granted that somebody would.

But nobody told anybody that we are aware of,
That he would be in charge of seeing it was taken care of.
And nobody took it on himself to follow through,
And do what everybody thought that somebody would do.

When what everybody needed so did not get done at all,
Everybody was complaining that somebody dropped the ball.
Anybody then could see it was an awful crying shame,
And everybody looked around for somebody to blame.

Somebody should have done the job
And Everybody should have,
But in the end Nobody did
What Anybody could have.

CraftyME: SnarkyME haters

Ok. Haters. Why are you such a hater?Oh wait I'll tell you why. Because you can't do what I do and you so wish you could. But you can't so you hate. It's cool because I find it hilarious. Yep I KNIT. Yep I knit Shawls & socks. And I'm good at it. I saw something I didn't know how to do. Said hey I wanna do that. And taught myself how to do it. You're just mad because you know no matter how hard you've tried you can't do it. Now I've tried to be nice. I've sat w/you showed you how to do it. But to no avail. So instead of trying to play me because I can, maybe you should try a little harder to do it yourself. We both know you wish you could.

WorkME (shh): MIA me

Yeah so I've been MIA from my poor little blog. I mean it's to be expected because that's just how I do. I've been meaning to post. Have like 5 different topics to cover, including but not limited to TouristyME adventures in Philly & NYC, podcast obsession, and knitting obsession, and ListyMe (needs a better name). So this is just me checking in to say I'll be back with a ton to talk about. So many ideas are swirling around in my head. Can't wait to share em. Ok back to being WorkME (shh)
